"Will you play weeze me, Monsieur? Oui?"

Eleanor arrived in Nevada City in 1854, a petite, young and attractive French woman. After parading through town for a few days, bejeweled and wearing fine clothing, she settled upon a location to set up a high-class gambling saloon. The number one rule was no women were allowed inside the establishment, or allowed to loiter outside of the premises. Her game was "vingt et un" or "21", and she gained a fine reputation as the best Black Jack dealer in all the Old West. Eventually Eleanor grew a fine thin line of hair above her upper lip, hence the nickname. She committed suicide in Bodie, California.
